Our Mission
We exist to share the love of Jesus with all people and lead them into a life forever changed in Christ.
Our Vision
Our vision is to build strong generations of Christ followers and to make Jesus known to the world.
THE CORE [The non-negotiable of what we do]
We believe Jesus is the epicenter of our lives. He is the core of our being and everything we do should be centered around him. He gives us purpose, direction, and a model in which we can live our lives.
“For in Him we live and move and have our being.” Acts 17:2
We are a community of people who love all people through our words, our actions, our thoughts, and our attitudes. We don’t pretend to love others; we really love them.
“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.” Romans 12:9-10
Healthy things grow. We believe that our faith starts to grow when we plant the promises of God in our very hearts, but it doesn’t stop there. We believe that growth takes intentionality both personally and corporately.
“God wants to shape you into the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:13 ESV
We believe that everyone has gifts and talents given by God for the purpose of growing His kingdom. We believe that everyone should find a place to use those gifts and talents to here at LMC. We say, “everyone does the dishes.”
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10 NIV
We believe that nothing should stand in our way of worshipping God both individually and corporately. We believe we should worship together as often as we can.
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.” Matthew 22:37-38
Living a generous life isn’t just about money. Living generously includes our gifts, our time, our talents, our service, and our witness. We believe that living a generous life is our response to all that God has done for us.
“Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-8 NIV
We want to live our lives in such a way that those around us will be inspired to live for Jesus.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV
We believe prayer is essential to the Christian life. It is our lifeline to God. Everything we do begins and ends in prayer.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians5:16-18NIV
Our Missional Bible Verses
