High School Mission Team Serves Asheville, NC with Love and Purpose From June 1–5, our Lake Magdalene Church high school mission team traveled to Asheville, North Carolina, to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a week full of service, growth, and transformation. Partnering with local ministries and community members, the team stepped into a variety of projects that made a real impact. One of the highlights of the trip was helping a single father renovate his home. The team worked tirelessly to restore living spaces, bringing dignity and hope to a family facing tough times. Another crew spent time doing drywall work for a local family in need—bringing both practical help and a message of compassion through their service. In the aftermath of recent storms, students also helped with cleanup efforts at YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly, clearing debris and restoring paths so the facility could continue to serve the surrounding community. The team also volunteered at two area crisis centers, offering a helping hand to organizations that provide critical support to individuals and families in crisis. From renovating and organizing, to yard work and encouragement, our students engaged in a wide variety of other service projects throughout the week. Each task—whether big or small—was approached with energy, humility, and love. This mission experience was more than a trip; it was a reminder that God uses us at every age and stage to bring hope and healing. We’re incredibly proud of our students and leaders for how they represented Christ and our church family in the Asheville area. Thank you to everyone who prayed for and supported this mission—your encouragement fueled a week of life-changing ministry.
