Why Missions and Outreach Matter at Lake Magdalene Church

At Lake Magdalene Church, we believe that the love of Jesus isn’t something to be kept inside the walls of our sanctuary—it’s meant to be shared. That’s why missions and outreach are at the very heart of who we are and what we do. Our vision is simple but powerful: we exist to share the love of Jesus with all people and lead them into a life forever changed in Christ. This vision calls us to action—locally, nationally, and globally.

Living Out the Gospel

Jesus didn’t just preach the good news—He embodied it by caring for the poor, healing the sick, and reaching out to the marginalized. When we serve our neighbors, respond to needs, and step into hard places with compassion, we follow His example. Missions and outreach are how we live out our faith in practical ways. It’s how we put hands and feet to the gospel.

Making a Real Difference

From providing food for local families in need, to serving communities in states such as North Carolina & Kentucky and partnering with global ministries like Blessman International in South Africa or our church families in Santiago de Cuba, our mission efforts are making a tangible difference. These ministries aren’t just good deeds—they’re opportunities to point people to the hope and restoration found in Jesus.

A Church That Goes

We are a sent people. The Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) reminds us to go into all the world and make disciples. Whether it’s helping renovate a home in Asheville, sponsoring a child through Compassion International, or inviting a neighbor to worship—each act of outreach opens the door for someone to encounter Christ.

Growing Through Serving

Missions don’t just change communities, they change us. When we serve, we grow in compassion, humility, and spiritual depth. Our teams return from mission trips renewed. Our volunteers come alive when they see how God can use their time and gifts. Outreach stretches our faith and draws us closer to the heart of God.

Join the Movement

Lake Magdalene Church is committed to being a light in the darkness, a hand of hope in hard times, and a voice of love in a hurting world. Missions and outreach aren’t just one part of our ministry—they’re woven into everything we do. Every person has a role to play, whether through giving, praying, going, or encouraging.

Let’s continue to be a church that moves outward, loving boldly, serving selflessly, and showing the world the life-changing power of Jesus.
